Christ The King Center Status

Update July, 2023

The Village of Glandorf Council voted this Spring to deny the zoning request that would have allowed the proposed Christ the King Center Campus to be constructed on what is presently the Schroeder property in Glandorf, OH.  So, we have taken a “pause” to prayerfully discern God’s will.  No specific decisions have yet been made.  We are prayerfully evaluating options. 

We, the board of directors and the proponents of Christ the King Center (CKC) are disappointed, perhaps wounded, by the village council actions.  Our work is not ended; we continue to to discern what God has in store for CKC.  Please know that CKC is not defined by a piece of property, nor a proposed campus, but by our mission to “inspire us, our families, and our communities to become saints by making Christ the center of our lives”.  Our underlying vision of providing Gospel based experiences to foster spiritual growth; to enhance personal relationships with God is intact and is unwavering.  Our values, built around deepening our faith and moving forward in holiness, of living our lives according to God’s will, are just as relevant as before. 

More than ever, this world, our society needs a shared recommitment to counter the worldly evil we see and experience in this “all about me” culture.  Our Catholic values are under attack everywhere.  CKC remains focused to a Christendom ideal for all of society where our Christian values and our Catholic faith can be fully and fearlessly lived and shared.  We are committed to our purpose; we trust God will point the way. 

Please continue to pray for us, our families, and our communities; that this stumbling block will become HIS stepping stone.  What adjustments is he asking us to make?
